(U8 & U11 Boys Competitive)

The Futbol Fever Winter Cup is a high-quality, one-day 5v5 youth tournament designed for competitive play, guaranteed games, and a premium event experience—all in a controlled, family-friendly environment.

With only six teams accepted, this event prioritizes game flow, athlete experience, and meaningful competition over overcrowded schedules.

EVENT OVERVIEW:

Date: December 27th (U8), January 4th (U11)
Time: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Arrival/Check-In: 10:30 AM
Location: Futbol Fever Indoor Facility

  • One-day tournament format

  • Limited to 6 teams total

  • Group play followed by knockout rounds

  • Awards ceremony to close the event

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Structure

Group Stage → Semifinals → Final

Two groups of three teams

Top two teams from each group advance

 

Guaranteed Play

Every team is guaranteed two matches

Teams advancing will play additional matches ($45/Match per Team)

Match Details

5v5 Games

30-minute matches

15-minute halves

Short halftime

Built-in transition time between games to ensure smooth flow

Brackets & Scoring

Group Play

Win = 3 points

Tie = 1 point

Loss = 0 points

Tiebreakers (in order)

  1. Goal difference

  2. Goals scored

  3. Head-to-head result

  4. Penalty shootout (3 players)

A full match schedule and group assignments will be shared with Coaches or Team Managers prior to the event.

 

Team Requirements

  • Recommended roster size: 5–8 players

  • All players must be registered prior to the event

  • Player ID's are required to show during team check-in

  • Waivers and emergency contact forms required for participation

  • Teams must arrive ready to play at least 15 minutes before their first match

This tournament is more than just matches—it’s a full Futbol Fever experience:

  • Music throughout the event

  • Live brackets and standings displayed on Monitor

  • Trophy and medal display in the lobby

  • Food vendor access

  • Parent lounge areas

  • Gaming lounge for players between matches

 

Everything is designed to keep athletes engaged and families comfortable throughout the day.

Awards & Recognition

  • 1st Place: Championship Trophy + 2HR Field Rental

  • 2nd Place: Medals + 1HR Field Rental

  • Man of the Match selections (Free Gatorade/Prime for Player)

  • Team photos and celebration moments

Registration & Fees

  • Team registration covers entry and two guaranteed matches

  • If a team advances beyond group play, additional match fees ($45/Match per Team) apply for semifinal and final rounds to be paid in person at front desk

  • All details are clearly outlined during the registration process and a WhatsApp Group Chat will be created for Coaches/Team Managers for any questions

 

Spots are extremely limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Important Notes for Parents

  • This is a competitive youth tournament

  • Playing time is not guaranteed beyond match minimums

  • Coaches/Team Managers are responsible for substitutions and player rotation

  • Referee decisions are final

  • Zero tolerance for on-field and sideline misconduct

  • Tournament Rules, Waiver, and Roster will be sent via email.

  • One week before the event, the schedule will be sent via email/text to the team contact.

  • All players are required to wear shin guards and must have a signed waiver to participate.

  • Proof of birth (Player Pass, Birth Certificate, or Passport copy) must be shown at check-in only.

Q: How many games will my child’s team play?

A: Every team is guaranteed at least two matches. Teams that advance to the semifinals and final will play additional matches.

 

Q: How long are the games?

A: All matches are 30 minutes total, played in two 15-minute halves with a short halftime break.

 

Q: How many teams are in the tournament?

A: The tournament is limited to just 6 teams to ensure quality play, proper scheduling, and a great experience for players and families.

 

Q: What is the age eligibility?

A: Age divisions are based on birth year, following standard U.S. Soccer guidelines. Exact birth years for each division are listed on the registration page. You must bring an ID for each player and shown at check-in. 

Q: What time should teams arrive?

A: Teams should arrive 30 minutes before their first scheduled match to allow time for check-in and warm-up.

 

Q: Is this a competitive tournament?

A: Yes. This is a competitive youth tournament designed for teams looking for focused play, structured matches, and a professional event environment.

 

Q: Will there be awards?

A: Yes. The tournament includes:

  • Championship trophy + Field Rental

  • Finalist medals + Field Rental

  • Man of the Match recognition

Awards are presented at the end of the event.

 

Q: What amenities are available for families?

A: The facility includes:

  • Seating areas for parents

  • Food vendor access

Q: What should players bring?

A: Players should bring:

  • Team jersey (light & dark if possible)

  • Shin guards

  • Indoor turf or flat shoes (no cleats allowed)

  • Water bottle

 

Q: Are referees provided?

A: Yes. All matches are officiated by certified referees, and referee decisions are final.

 

Q: What is the sideline policy?

A: We maintain a positive, respectful environment. Unsportsmanlike behavior from players, coaches, or spectators may result in removal from the facility.
